Abu Bakr Foundation is a non profit organization (NPO) formed by a group of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) alumni, to contribute back to the society and people with anything that possible, from public work to charity fund. At the moment the organization focuses more on young children on their studies, orphans and orphanage shelters, by giving support through fund, motivational talks, providing tuition classes and so on.
The organization was named after Saidina Abu Bakr As-Siddiq R.A, the first Caliph of Islam and senior companion (Sahabi) of Rasulullah S.A.W, who among others is well known because of his generosity, whereas he donated all of his belongings for the cause of Islam.
The purpose of this blog is to share the activities that have been done and planned.
This organization has been registered with the Registry of Societies Malaysia (ROS) and approved on 18th March 2014. Our official name is YAYASAN ABU BAKR KUALA LUMPUR DAN SELANGOR or in English is ABU BAKR FOUNDATION KUALA LUMPUR AND SELANGOR. Our reference number is PPM-032-14-18032014.
Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, "Envy is permitted only in two cases: A man whom Allah gives wealth, and he disposes of it rightfully, and a man to whom Allah gives knowledge which he applies and teaches it.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
