As you guys have known, our country, especially those who stayed in Pantai Timur particularly was hit hard by a major flood, the worst that the nation ever seen. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated, 21 reported dead and 10 were missing, with lost estimated to be more than RM1 billion.
The damage caused by the flood was devastating, thousands of people lost their houses and cars, electricity and water were cut due to damage of the plants, shorts of food supplies, clothes and basic amenities, mobile phones lost coverage, and so on.
The nation united in the wake of the devastating tragedy. Helps came in, donations started to pour in and volunteers came to help.Everybody is doing everything they can to help ease the burden of the victims.
As such, we decided to donate the balance of what we have at that moment to the flood victims. Decision has been made to use the money to buy pampers, baby milk powder and feminine sanitary pad, since these things are short in supply.
We gathered one morning at Tesco Bandar Bukit Puchong before proceeded to the hypermarket for the purchase.All together we bought 13 boxes X 3 bags of pampers in multiple sizes, 5 boxes X 12 packets of baby milk powder and 2 boxes full of feminine sanitary pads. The total cost is RM2536.00, but since we had in our hand RM2403.40, one of the members is generous enough to top up the extra RM132.60. Thank you very much.
We loaded up the goods in two 4X4s, where the volunteers will deliver it to the victims in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
Jazakallah.Hope our little contribution will ease the burden of the victims, and attains the pleasure of Allah SWT.
