Donation for a cancer patient

Upon requested by the father of the patient, we will remain the patient's anonymity. 

Assalamualaikum,

A son of one of the member's colleague, has been diagnosed with a sarcoma stage 4 (a type of cancer) about a year ago. The cancer first has been detected at his left thigh and an immediate surgery has been done to remove the cancer, followed by an intensive chemotherapy for another 6 months.

The treatment seems to be working, however, at the end of January 2014, the cancer has been detected spreading to his right thigh and skull. Further treatment need to be done to prevent the spreading.

To ease the burden of the father and his family, ABF has agreed to donate RM2000 as a sign of our concern. The money has been transferred online and delivered to him in cash by one of the members.

Update on 21st March 2014

Unfortunately, on 20th March 2014, at around 7:00 pm, the patient has passed away due to complication to his brain and spine. His body was brought home and buried in Selayang the next morning.

Our deepest condolence and sympathy to the father and family, may Allah give him and his family the strength to face the challenges ahead. And our prayers also to the patient, may Allah place him among the Saleh in heaven. Al-Fatihah.
